African American Leadership Development
Rev. Emanuel Cleaver II serves as part-time assistant to the Bishop for African-American Leadership Development, and will continue to serve in the United States Congress as he has for the past five years.
He will assist with leadership development, clergy recruitment, congregational interventions, conflict management, clergy effectiveness issues, and will consult on new church starts.
African American Leadership Development Services
The Center for African American Leadership Development would be happy to provide more information in these areas:
- Work with African American congregations and African American pastors through a ministry of teaching, preaching, presence, leadership development, encouragement and coaching
- Help build more vibrant, fruitful, growing congregations that invite, assimilate, focus outwardly, and impact their communities
- Assist with the recruitment of gifted African American leadership, professional development, and congregational interventions
- Offer counsel to the Bishop concerning appointments, conflict management, and effectiveness issues
- Consult on new African American church starts
